In April 2018, the WCT partnered with Tshokolo Primary School located in Acornhoek, Mpumalanga, South Africa. The school is situated in the Madile Village, next to the Hlebe Dam. Tshokolo Primary School supports 330 learners and 12 teachers.

As part of the partnership, we try to assist the school with much-needed equipment by sharing their wish lists with the participants of the Wildlife Conservation Trust, as well as our supporters. We have raised funds through online initiatives and interested parties that seek to support local communities.

The WCT has assisted Tshokolo Primary School with the following projects so far:

  • Goodbye Malaria Campaign – 330 mosquito nets were handed out to the Tshokolo community
  • Book drive to upgrade the Tshokolo Primary School Library – 150 books handed over. On-going campaign
  • Participation in the Rhino and Elephant Art campaign with Kingsley Holgate.
  • Feeding programme
  • Wishlist items handed over – stationary and sports equipment
