In April 2016, we started a partnership with Lumukisa Primary School, located in Acornhoek, Mpumalanga, South Africa. The school supports 987 learners and 19 teachers.

This partnership has seen not only incredible upliftment to their school’s property, but we have also educated and inspired numerous children about animals, our environment and wildlife conservation

Groups of 16 learners visit HESC throughout the year, accompanied by four teachers. During these visits, they assist the staff, as well as the students of the Wildlife Conservation Experience (WCE), as they go about their daily duties. It is an excellent opportunity for the pupils to learn about the various animals at the centre, and more importantly, about wildlife conservation and the importance of preserving our precious South African wildlife.

As part of the partnership, we try to assist the schools with much-needed equipment by sharing their wish lists with the participants of the Wildlife Conservation Experience, as well as with visitors to HESC and our supporters.
